Jazz Cerkno Records was launched in 2018. It was created to release records of Slovene artists working in the field of jazz, improvised and creative music. The label also offers publishing support to promising young musicians and their inventive projects. An important mission beside the production quality is also the promotion of Slovene musicians in the international music scene.

Many concerts at Jazz Cerkno festival were recorded even before the launch of the label. Over the years Jazz Cerkno built a rich archive of recordings of many acclaimed musicians whose performances at the festival were unique and one of a kind. Musicians as well as other record labels often showed the interest in releasing the recordings. Therefore, the logical consequence was the creation of our own record label. In collaboration with PureZen Records from Cerkno we started releasing live recordings from the festival in a series called Live at Jazz Cerkno.
