At the forefront of the soundscape is the powerful interpretation of traditional Serbian songs by Svetlana Spajić. Her singing is accompanied by diverse sounds from a wide range of alternative genres\, such as avant-garde rock\, noise\, minimalism and electronic music\, provided by German bassist Guido Möbius and Austrian drummer Andi Stecher. As emphasized in numerous reviews\, the trio’s music is characterized by a sense of mysticism\, the spirit of old Balkan legends and stories\, and a courageous sonic expression\, full of unpredictability and surprising arrangement solutions\, moving at the intersection of ambient and expressive music. After their debut album Down in the Meadow\, which was released by Morphine Records in 2021\, the band released their second album Gordan on the prestigious Glitterbeat label in 2024. “The connection between folk and improvised music\, between traditional song and electric noise has been tried in recent years\, but rarely as intensively and interestingly.” (Rolling Stone Germany) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Photo: Christoph Voy
